How long should I leave the ice cream cups out before my event?

When you take your ice cream cups out of the dry ice, they will be frozen solid. We recommend leaving the ice cream cups at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes prior to your event. This will ensure that they are the ideal consistency when served.

How do I handle dry ice?

Please handle dry ice with extreme care. Always wear protective hand wear (an oven mitt or leather gloves) when handling dry ice. Prolonged contact with dry ice will cause injury similar to a burn. Do not place on solid or tiled surfaces and do not place dry ice in your freezer. To dispose of dry ice, unwrap and leave the dry ice outside or at room temperature in a well-ventilated area. It will dissipate from a solid to gas.

How many different flavors of ice cream cups can I select?

As many as you want! You have the choice of all 7 flavors offered on our catering menu. You are not limited to a certain minimum quantity per flavor.

Can I try your flavors before deciding?

Every flavor on our catering menu is available to sample at our scoop shops.

Are the baked goods I’m receiving fresh?

Yes! We bake the cookies the day you will receive your order so they are fresh, moist and chewy when they arrive.

Can I order something that’s offered in your scoop shop but not on the catering menu?

The items on our catering menu are products that we can provide for catering deliveries. If you would like to purchase items that are available in our scoop shops but not on our catering menu, you’re always welcome to stop by our scoop shops and purchase them. We’d recommend calling our scoop shops ahead of time to confirm availability and place your order aside:

  • Campbell: (408) 412-8668
  • Los Altos: (650) 947-4996
  • Palo Alto: (650) 327-1715
  • San Mateo: (650) 458-3171

I have guests who can not ingest dairy, what options do you have for them?

Currently, we have a Passionfruit Lime Sorbet flavor that is dairy-free.
I have guests who have food allergies, what do you recommend?
We would be happy to provide allergen information for each of our products upon request. Please also let us know about any food allergies on your Catering Order Form. Once we receive your order form, we will help you select a menu to accommodate all of your guests. Please note, all products are manufactured on shared equipment and could contain traces of dairy, egg, soy, gluten, peanuts and/or treenuts.

My event is on the weekend, can I still get catering from Tin Pot?

Our delivery team is available Monday through Friday for catering deliveries. We will pack your ice cream order with enough dry ice to remain frozen through the weekend. For a weekend event, please do not open the coolers

Are you available to serve at my event?

At this time, we’re only able to drop off catering orders in coolers with dry ice and are not able to stay and serve at your event.
